Property Description
A lovely piece of land is available for sale near Kampi Ya Moto on the Nakuru to Baringo Road, 26 kms down the main road, and 3.5 km off the main road, about half an hour from town. It is a 25-acre plot within a 77 acre fenced block bordered by Lowling Farm and a murram road which runs from Kampi Ya Moto to Bahati.
The land has been sub-divided from Lowling Farm and is at an altitude of 5,600ft (1,707 mts) and is undulating with interesting features which makes it attractive for a community of houses which can be placed in fairly close proximity, but not noticeably looking onto each other. The views are spectacular, looking north-west towards Kilombe, the Tugen Hills and down towards Lake Baringo in the north.
The climate is generally warmer than Nakuru with daytime temperatures averaging between 28 – 31⁰C. Normal average rainfall is about 35” a year. The vegetation is fairly dry land type of Acacias, Lileshwa and Carissa bushes. There is a great variety of birdlife in the area, which include Go-Away birds, Hornbills, Brown Parrot, Plovers, Weavers, Golden Oriole to name but a few, as we are bordering between Nakuru and the dry land birds towards Lake Baringo. The land is only about a 1½ hour drive to Lake Baringo, and there are two routes to get to Lake Bogoria, one down the main road which takes about an hour, and another back road through the sisal plantations of Alphega which takes about the same time and takes you to the south end of the lake by Fig Tree Camp.
The land is Leasehold for 955 years. The climate is always warm and comfortable. We are looking to have a community of like-minded people who enjoy space and upcountry life. So as to avoid sub-division at first, a company has been set up where shares are available for sale.
